Workshop Description & Objectives
This workshop is designed for the sign Language Interpreter who is already mentoring or interested in becoming a mentor in the K-12 setting. Participants will review the Minnesota educational interpreter law and the mentoring requirements. They will engage in activities and interactive discussion on the topics of resources and support in the educational setting as well as classroom based mentoring strategies. Participants will leave not only with the knowledge of what is needed to mentor successfully in the classroom but will have tools and materials at their fingertips.
